Reavers! A Wolves Upon the Coast Campaign

Session Report #6

Slower travel session the group travels from Diserth to Caernfon in a quest to get Gwyndolin the once Thegn of Druisten's karvi that is left in the city.

They set out and have an uneventful trip to as far as Enid's Hut where they sleep for the night. Waking in the morning to a very cranky witch staring down at a groggy Asvid who demands they prepare her some breakfast before sending them on their way making it clear the party has worn their welcome thin.

They set out west from Enid's across country having been warned about the presence of Druids harassing travelers on the road south of Enid's. As they go they see a hillside with a massive crevice in it but decide to pass it by.

Going farther west they camp for the night on a hilltop with a small campfire protecting them against the cold of the winter night. As they hold watch several figures appear on the next hill over appearing as men on horseback but malformed not quite shaped right. The party identifies them as a group of centaurs they had seen in the region before torturing some wildlife. These don't appear to want to harass the party and outside denying them all some sleep as they all stand to they eventually wander away leaving the group alone.

The troop marches west until eventually they meet a small village which is recognized to a few of the party who had been this way before. The village of Wryddembyre which celebrates the party member Jimbo who is known for having helped save the villages children some months past. In thanks they put the party up for the night and wish them good luck on their journeys onward.

Resting for the night they set out south and soon enough come across a farm that reeks of decay. Going to investigate they find that every one of their 50 cattle have been slain the eyes ripped from skulls and when the group checks the farm house they find the 3 occupants all having shared the same gristly fate.

One party member, Dorgas, swears he will bring this Eye-Plucker to justice and they search the area to no avail.

They group in some defeat sets south reaching the village of Llanelli where they ask around about leads but get nothing outside the village chieftan being extremely exhausted with everyone asking her a young woman in her teens still about persuing this monster.

In defeat they set off south one last time reaching the city. Caernfon. White walls stained with soot sprawling around many bridges across the river they have reached their goal. Going immediately to the docks they receive some foul news. The ship, this Karvi won in a duel from the slaver Skaldr by the late Druisten, has been stolen by the two Thegns of Skaldr Thorstein and Thorfinn who have sailed away with their once masters ship leaving the group here shipless.

In a fit of rage Gwyndolin once Thegn of Druisten vows that she will claim the ears of these pirating thegns and the group ends up splitting ways here.

Gwydion and Theodor to go west to Blulach in search for the lost knowledge of St. Olham's Monastery while Gwyndolin and the others would march north to Guthrym the most likely port of entry for those who had stolen a ship.

During the week that follows there was individual quests pursued but the group as it was established is likely split for the near future.
