The Need For a Tentpole Dungeon
This is probably something Luke Gearing would heavily disagree with but I think the single biggest thing that Wolves could use is a well designed dungeon that gives players something they can always go back to when they don't have anything else they specifically want to do.
Some sessions people just get tired of rolling up endless new hexes and wandering nearly aimlessly and it helps to have somewhere where the only direction you really need to worry about is going down.
That means no tracking rations, no worrying about watches at night, none of it. Just go in and find quick and easy action to engage with.
It doesn't need to be grand it just needs to be fun.
I like when it is grand personally and thus I use The Isle which is pretty easily converted into Wolves Upon the Coast from The Vanilla Game by going 9-(Vanilla AC)=Wolves AC and then having stuff like damage to grit do damage directly to stats and that is essentially it.
I also use the monks on the island as a great source for hooks that lead the players outside the dungeon. Using a table of fears and desires I made for a pay what you want zine I am looking to publish with Canyon in the coming weeks/months.
